Following the collaboration between Square Enix and People Can Fly to help them establish and develop their upcoming AAA titles, its scope and vision was bound to grow over time, and that’s exactly what happened. People Can Fly most noticeable titles include Bulletstorm, Painkiller, and others as well.
People Can Fly’s CEO Sebastian Wojciechowski was recently featured in an interview with DualShockers, where he discussed how their latest AAA shooter title grew in scope and size over time since its pitch in 2015. He continued to praise the Square Enix collaboration, as well as how they are aiding the development team “design-wise, tech-wise, production-wise, and art-wise.”
[It was] pitched back in 2015. The ambition around this game and the scope of the game grew over time, so it is a much bigger, much more ambitious project than what we pitched back in 2015. It is the same exact idea that we had back then.
I can only say good things about the cooperation with Square Enix. [There is a] separate, dedicated team at Square Enix that is helping us with our development design-wise, tech-wise, production-wise, and art-wise. [They are] taking responsibly of distribution, sales, and marketing of the game.
So far, we have no details at all regarding the studio’s new title, but once anything is revealed, we’ll update our readers.
