Square Enix Reveal Kingdom Hearts 3 January Update Plans; Epilogue and Memory Archive Videos Added Before Launch

It is kind of a weird feeling when you realise Kingdom Hearts III is just two weeks away from its official release, after all these years. Game Director Tetsuya Nomura explained the game engine change during development was the main reason Kingdom Hearts III took so long to develop. He clarified it was a decision from the “higher-ups” and the development team had to train and adapt to the new engine before continuing development.

Kingdom Hearts III will receive two updates before its official release. The first one is on the 25th of January, adding Memory Archive videos. A day later, the Epilogue will be added to the game so players can watch it once they are done completing the game.

January 25th

-1.01 patch
-Memory Archive videos (same ones on the Japanese Youtube)

January 26th

-Epilogue added (To watch the Epilogue, you need to finish the game)

January 31st

-Secret movie added (To watch the Secret movie, you need to finish the game and meet certain requirements. The requirements vary depending on the difficulty you select)

Kingdom Hearts III releases on January 29th, 2019 for PS4 and Xbox One.
