Since technically 2018 is over, Anthem is just two months away from release. BioWare is holding livestream every now and then to hype up fans prior to release, as well as provide new gameplay footage for each Javelin and showcasing Anthem’s world.
The latest livestream focused on the Interceptor Javelin, and showcased the The Temple of the Scar, one of the game’s multiple Strongholds distributed around the world. The Interceptor Javelin is the smallest and most agile amongst the different Javelin suits we know. It suits those with long-range preferences, or extremely close combat due to its ability to quickly inflict high damage to its enemies then evade their attacks. The Temple of the Scar stronghold was showcased in the gameplay video shown below.
The smallest and sleekest of the javelins, the Interceptor is favored by long-range scouts, infiltrators, and assassins. It may not be the mightiest javelin in your arsenal, but its agility and evasion are unmatched, and it has more than enough power to bring the fight to anyone foolish enough to underestimate it.
The Interceptor javelin might not have the imposing silhouette of the Colossus, but it still knows how to pack a punch. The Interceptor excels at getting in close to inflict damage and weaken its enemies, then dashing away before they can react. With powerful blades and a full suite of devastating abilities, the Interceptor is both incredibly self-reliant and an excellent supporting teammate.
Anthem releases on February 22nd, 2019 for PS4, Xbox One and PC. BioWare revealed Anthem’s story choices “more personal.” You can check out the Interceptor Javelin gameplay for yourself below.
