EverQuest Next Debuts, Features Environment Destructibility

August 2, 2013 by Andrea Castellano

EverQuest Next gameplay debut.

Announced many years ago, today Sony Online Entertainment debuted gameplay for EverQuest Next and held a live stream on Twitch.tv.

The MMORPG will feature fully destructible environments and handle the destruction of terrain similarly to games like Minecraft. With the describable environments, players can go underground to find caverns to explore.

The keynote discusses weapons, environments and races players will find in EverQuest Next. The hour long video also explains and reveals EverQuest Next Landmark – a spin-off title set to release early next year. The spin-off game will provide tools to create environments, and the developers promise players can create things identical to what the developers produce.

The EverQuest Next main game won't release this year, but you can learn more about it with the hour long video below.
