Ubisoft Announcing New IP at gamescom

At the gamescom event in Cologne, Germany, Ubisoft will focus on the announcement of a brand new game. At GDC Europe, only a few days before gamescom, Ubisoft will also reveal a smaller game called Child of Light. 

Patrick Plourde, former creative director for Far Cry and Assassin's Creed, will lead the discussion for Child of Light as a game operating under a AAA budget.

As for the new IP at gamescom, Ubisoft did not reveal any additional information. While I continue to hope for another Rainbow Six or Beyond Good and Evil game, Ubisoft continues to show their commitment to creating new IPs. Last year Ubisoft revealed Watch Dogs, and with the new generation approaching, Ubisoft revealed games like The Crew and The Division at E3 this year.

GDC Europe will run from the 19th to the 20th, and gamescom will run from the 21st and 25th.
