Call of Duty is known for its fast and action-packed multiplayer gameplay modes, but there is also a wide fanbase for the franchise’s zombies mode. Treyarch’s zombies are arguably seen as the best in the series, with carefully constructed lore, various unique characters and several different maps. However, Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 players started reporting several bugs and issues they ran into while trying to complete certain maps’ easter eggs.
Treyarch Zombies Team went over to the game’s Reddit, mentioning how they implemented a “new technology” in the game’s latest update to help them track down “more complex crashes” and admitted it will take ‘a little longer than regular updates” to iron out everything.
We want to take this opportunity to address [Zombies] stability issues, particularly during Easter Egg quests: game stability is and will continue to be the number one priority of the Zombies development team until these issues are resolved.
In our most recent major game update, we added new technology to help us track down the more complex Zombies crashes, and these tools now allow us to isolate the issues with the highest frequency. We’re working through that list in priority order, and we will be releasing several fixes over the course of the next few updates. The complexity of variables in Zombies Easter Eggs presents the team with a unique set of challenges in reproducing, fixing, and thoroughly testing the fixes before release. As such, they take a little longer than our regular updates, and we appreciate your continued patience.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 is now available for PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
