Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Story Campaign Officially Revealed

November 1, 2018 by Dennis Patrick

Check out World of Light.

Earlier today Nintendo held a brand new Nintendo Direct that was focused on their latest big title release, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. This title has been hyped up and as we get closer to its release date, Nintendo is starting to share even more information as to what we can expect from the game. For instance, in the Nintendo Direct held today, we were given the word of World of Light, the story campaign mode that will be within the game.

Super Smash Bros. lately has held a campaign mode for gamers to go through rather than standard matches and that’s continuing on with Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. The narrative is a bit unknown still but from what has been shown, it appears that some evil force has captured and turned all of the galaxies greatest heroes into an evil counterpart. That is all but one as players will start the adventure off as Kirby.

Going through the game in a bit of an open world RPG, Kirby will traverse the area and seek out the evil counterparts in battle which will likely result in unlocking a new character. Being that this game features not only all of the previously released characters from the Super Smash Bros franchise, but there is even more cast into this latest installment.

Ultimately, this means that the campaign alone will likely be a lengthy experience for gamers to go through, but we’ll have to wait for more information to start coming out for the game. As it stands right now, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is said to release on December 7, 2018, for the Nintendo Switch.
