God of War is definitely in the conversation for one of the best games to ever release, alongside the likes of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, Insomniac Games’ Spider-Man, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim and many more. Making a game isn’t easy, especially when it is a triple-A title with such a large fanbase was anticipating.
God of War director Cory Barlog revealed via an official press release earlier today he is going to host a keynote during PAX South 2019. PAX South 2019 kicks off on January 18th and ends January 20th. The keynote, titled “Storyline,” will act as the main opening for the show. In other news, Sony Santa Monica’s Lead Environmental Artist Nate Stephens teased the possibility of a God of War sequel, and promised if made, will be “bigger, better, longer” than the one we already have.
We still want to be God of War. What I want to say is that the first battle in this game when you’re fighting the “Alien” is really an epic fight. It ends by destroying the entire environment in which you fight. It was really hard to create, I myself was working on lighting in this site and it was super hard to process it there. If we have a meeting with Thor or Odin, it must be bigger than this, better than this. This game was very good, but we think we can make it even better, of course, it must be a little bit bigger, 10% cheaper. So if we do another game – no one actually said that we are doing it – it will be bigger, better, longer.
God of War is exclusively available on Sony’s PS4 console.
