Although the remake will feature improved visuals and re-imagined soundtrack, the developers at Interceptor Entertainment aim to stay true to the roots of the franchise. With Rise of the Triad, they hope to keep the exploration and twitch-based controls of the first game to replicate that initial experience while providing a modern feel.

And that modern feel bleeds into their approach for implementing new ideas. The first Rise of the Triad included abnormal ideas like a "Dog Mode", so Interceptor wanted to include as many crazy ideas as possible.
