Carthage Takes on the World in Total War: Rome 2 Gameplay Footage

Total War: Rome 2 doesn't set out to conquer the turned based strategy genre until September 3rd but The Creative Assembly are making the wait a little bit more bearable with a series of Let's Play vidoes. 

In the trailers community co-ordinator Patricia Ryniak and creative director Dom Starr talk players through the game's various elements including factions, diplomacy and the campaign map. Starr also discusses houses, factions, traits and the influence your starting choice of empire could have on the entire game. 

You'll also get a closer look at how settlements work in the game. 

There's not much of the way of fighting at the top of this video but the developers have thankfully recorded another Let's Play which focuses on the Battle of the Nile and you can watch it below. 

Total War: Rome 2 is the most pre-ordered title in the series to date and doing so nets you the Greek States Faction Pack which adds three playable nations to the game.
