Splinter Cell Blacklist Trailer Explores 3 Ways to Play

July 24, 2013 by Andrea Castellano

Splinter Cell Blacklist shows the Ghost, Panther and Assault play styles.

For the upcoming release of Splinter Cell Blacklist, the latest trailer shows Sam Fisher as he approaches missions in three different ways.

The Ghost play style adopts the traditional approach of Splinter Cell and focuses on movement in the shadows. Playing as a Ghost means remaining hidden by using drones and gadgets to distract guards and non-lethal takedowns when necessary. With the slow, methodical pace of a Ghost, players can complete a level without ever killing a guard.

Assault abandons stealth for all out, guns blazing killing. While you should probably still remain hidden as long as possible, the Assault mode will help players fix situations they can no longer control.

Playing as a Panther turns Sam into a predator to kill enemies quietly. Predator strikes a balance between both play styles. It allows players to eliminate targets but in a much quieter fashion. Pistols and knives will help Sam kill a range and in close quarters.

Splinter Cell Blacklist will release on the Xbox 360, PS3, Wii U and PC on August 28th.
