AMD Demands Proof Over Nvidia’s Claims of Fastest Graphics Card

March 28, 2011

AMD is angry over claims that Nvidia possesses the fastest graphics card on the market, and asks for Nvidia to prove it.

In a bid to stay at the top of the competitive graphics card industry, AMD has requested that Nvidia back up its claim of having the "World's Fastest Graphics Card."

Nvidia claims that its newly released GTX 590 is the fastest graphics card in the world, faster even than AMDs flagship Radeon HD 6990. A benchmark run on 3DMark 11 shows otherwise, with AMD's card clearly leading the pack.

As Nvidia has failed to back up its claim with any proof, AMD is challenging them to provide it. With the gauntlet being thrown, Nvidia has no choice now but to provide the evidence or concede that it may only have the second fastest card on the market.
