The new Mortal Kombat is sure to draw a crowd with its violence, off-beat gameplay and its lineup of characters, which includes characters both classic and new. A new screenshot showcasing the character screen reveals each of the characters that are confirmed to make it into the game.
They are: Baraka, Cyber Sub-Zero, Cyrax, Ermac, Jade, Jax, Johnny Cage, Kabal, Kano, Kitana, Kung Lao, Liu Kang, Mileena, Nightwolf, NOob Saibot, Quan Chi, Raiden, Reptile, Scorpion, Sektor, Shang Tsung, Sheeva, Sindel, Smoke, Sonya Blade, Stryker and Sub-Zero.
The list doesn't include the PlayStation 3-exclusive character Kratos (the God of War) or the as-yet-unannounced exclusive character for the Xbox 360.
A further three additional characters have will be included in a DLC. They are Kintaro, Kenshi and Skarlet.
