Max Payne 3: The Complete Series Book Collection Brings Slow-Mo Reading this October

July 18, 2013 by Andrea Castellano

Max Payne 3 comic book collection arriving this October.

Following the success of the Max Payne series, Titan Books will publish every Max Payne 3 prequel comic in print. Max Payne 3: The Complete Series will include three individual comics that tell the story of Max's past with the help of unseen artwork from the creators.

The printed collection will follow Max's past to blend the plots between Max Payne 1, 2 and 3. The comics will tell stories of Max's childhood and his eventual departure as NYPD officer to independent gunman.

Sam Lake, writer for the first two entries for Max Payne and other games such as Alan Wake and Quantum Break, lead the script writing until Remedy handed the series off to Rockstar Games. Remedy told the story in their first two games using a comic book panelling style which Rockstar did not follow. Rockstar Games took the story and instead opted for more traditional cut scenes between shooting sections.

Max Payne 3: The Complete Series will tread familiar ground with the comic book release by following the comic book panels style Remedy followed.

Max Payne 3: The Complete Series printed book will release this October 22nd for $9.99.
