NBA 2K14 Developers Ask Fans to Name Favorite New-Look Teams

July 15, 2013 by Josiah Renaudin

Plenty of teams have changed drastically since the off-season, and 2K wants to hear which team you’re going to play as.

If you’re an NBA fan, the excitement didn’t stop after the Miami Heat took out the San Antonio Spurs in seven games. Sure, the last two battles that decided this year’s champion were some of the best basketball we’ve seen all season, but the free-agency period and massive player transactions that have happened since might just eclipse that Ray Allen 3-pointer that drew thousands of fair-weather fans back to their seats.

Dwight Howard has left the Lakers to play for the Rockets, Andre Iguodala will join Stephen Curry and the dynamic Warriors as they seek glory, and the Brooklyn Nets will basically give their all to win a championship in the next two or three years. Players have been moving all over the place since the end of the playoffs, and that will only make NBA 2K14 more exciting to experience. The developers behind the major release may be hard at working bringing all the stars to life, but a call has still gone out to all fans of the sport concerning new-look teams. 2K wants to know which redesigned team you’re most looking forward to controlling in the latest game, and while you’re at it, you might as well tell them why, too.

This is a development studio that feeds off fan responses. Currently, cover athlete LeBron James is looking to fans for music that will appear in the final product, so there’s a possibility that your favorite artist could appear in the game. The project continues to look solid, and thankfully, you’ll be able to pick it up on both current and next-gen platforms in the fall.
