PS4: Hands-On Footage With the DualShock 4

At an event for UK media yesterday Sony demonstrated a number of key titles for the PS4 while PlayStation Access also recorded a hands-on video with the console's controller, the DualShock 4.

Digital Extremes, the developers of PS4 free-to-play title Warframe, recently praised Sony's controller saying it's the best they've ever used. 

DICE's Alan Kertz, the lead core gameplay designer for Battlefield 4, has also said that the console's triggers are "so much improved" over the DualShock 3 that the developer will "likely" use L2 and R2 for aiming and shooting in Battlefield 4 and presumably other DICE games such as Star Wars: Battlefront. 

You can also check out this developer video about the DualShock 4 from April. Among the changes made for the controller are the addition of the lightbar sensor, the built-in speaker and the Options and Share buttons in lieu of Start and Select. The L3 and R3 sticks have also been moved slightly further apart.

The PlayStation 4, and the DualShock 4, are set to be released later this year for $399. Separate controllers will cost $50.
