Tomorrow, pretty much everyone living in the U.S. will be enjoying a nice, cold beer with a group of friends. The Fourth of July is a day saved for good food, friends, and now, this Saints Row 4 trailer. There’s been a patriotic theme seen in many of the content Deep Silver and Volition have been pumping out concerning this summer blockbuster, but this latest piece of video greatness might just make you light some fireworks and put your foot through a wall. Because really, that’s what America’s all about.
When it comes down to it, if you like open-world games that don’t take themselves too seriously, you’re probably already sold on Saints Row 4. But, if anyone still needs more convincing, this Independence Day trailer shows text-based RPGs, massive mechs, and enough mindless violence to last for months on end. Everything about this franchise has been over the top since it was first introduced on the original Xbox, but Volition is doing its best to turn the dial up as high as possible with its latest effort.
Not everyone will be able to enjoy the fun, though. It was recently learned that Australia banned Saints Row 4 due to its highly inappropriate nature. We’ve seen this happen in the Land Down Under before, but instead of simply forgetting about the Aussie fans, a much more tamed version of the game is in the works. That’s unfortunate for everyone in Australia, but don’t let their sorrow prevent you from digging into Saints Row 4 on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC August 20.
