Dota 2’s New Practice Map Revealed as Tutorials Go Live

A new set of tutorials for Dota 2 have been released to help players get to grips with the multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA) genre that are to be played out on a new practice map which you can see above.

The tutorials will guide players through the basics of movement, combat and abilities in the Dragon Knight segment. You'll be taken to a new tutorial map and charged with undertaking four missions which explain how towers, couriers and other map-based elements work in practical terms with all the information relayed in easy-to-understand terms for newcomers.

Afterwards you'll take on bots from a reduced roster of 20 character before engaging other tutorial players to help ease their way into the fold. The game will recommend that you play 10 tutorial-based matches prior to entering the game proper.

Once you've completed the tutorial you'll be rewarded with a page of lore from the Archronicus book which can be found on the world map. Players will also have the chance to unlock some Gunslinger gear for the Sniper.

Hopefully, the tutorials will make Valve's game feel a little less intimidating for newcomers.
