Renowned publisher 2K announced they signed an agreement with Saber Interactive to publish NBA Playgrounds 2. In addition to that, as a result of this agreement, the title was renamed to NBA 2K Playgrounds 2, which is such a mouthful to say to be honest. However, having the 2K branding and support from a well-known basketball developer such as 2K will certainly improve the sequel’s chances of outperforming its predecessor. President of Visual Concepts Greg Thomas promised NBA 2K Playgrounds 2 will be a step up from the original title, and after the recent agreement with 2K, the title will certainly feature “a bit of added NBA 2K flair.”
The original NBA Playgrounds was a fantastic throwback to the glory days of arcade-action sports. The new NBA 2K Playgrounds 2 will step up this energy and attitude big time – with a bit of added NBA 2K flair – giving fans of both franchises an exciting new way to game with friends around the world.
NBA 2k Playgrounds 2 still doesn’t have a release date as of the time of writing, but will release on PS4, Xbox One, PC and Nintendo Switch.
