Black Ops IIII Battle Royale Mode Rumoured To Support Up To 60 Players

July 13, 2018 by Jordan Coetsee

Real or Fake?

With Activision gearing up towards the yearly release of their Call of Duty title, Call of Duty Black Ops 4, it seems almost natural that information leaks would slowly be slipping out of the company into public hands. One of the latest leaks pertains to a new change in the series, a Battle Royale mode.

Dubbed Blackout, the mode is apparently going to follow a similar formula to that of Fortnite and PUBG, offering squads of up to 12 players and a lobby featuring a total of 60 players. Could the squad number vary like in the Case of Fortnite? Or is it hardwired to 12?

All of this was leaked through a screenshot of the game’s lobby menu. Could it be real or could it be fake? Considering Call of Duty has always featured lobbys of smaller players, I would guess the former. For now, I guess we will just have to wait it out and see what’s next…
