Sucker Punch has released a walkthrough video of PlayStation 4 exclusive InFAMOUS: Second Son with Revision3 Games' executive producer Adam Sessler.
Second Son was announced in February at the PlayStation 4's and a new gameplay trailer was released at Sony's pre-E3 press conference. It will be the third game in the inFAMOUS series and features a whole new protagonist.
Sucker Punch says the decision to have a new central character was because they "really wanted to reinvent everything for a new platform."
They also revealed that according to Trophy data for inFAMOUS 2 shows that 80% of players chose the ending in which Cole sacrificed himself and so the decision to launch a new super hero origin story was really appealling to the developers.
Sucker Punch says "the new hardware really adds to what we can do with the effects" as well as lighting and weather within the game. Second Son is set in Seattle, the first time a real city has been used in the series. The original was set in Empire City, a take on New York, while New Marais stood in for New Orleans in inFAMOUS 2.
Based on whether you play as a good or bad character the gameplay will change and Sucker Punch are looking to make your choices more meaningful. They also say that the environment is much more destructible than in previous titles.
inFAMOUS Second Son is set to be released exclusively on PlayStation 4 in the first quarter of 2014.
