Commander Mode Returns to Battlefield 4, 64 Person Multiplayer

June 10, 2013 by Andrea Castellano

EA demos the Commander Mode returning to Battlefield 4.

Battlefield 4 will see the return of Commander Mode which allows players to deliver information or artillery strikes to a squad by using tablets or devices compatible with the Battlelog.

The demo of the Commander Mode took place on the map called Siege of Shanghai where 64 players could use jet skis, boats and helicopters to travel. The commander mode will only function on 64 player maps. In the demo you could also see a huge building collapse from the explosives. And I mean a huge building.

No official word on if the 64 person mode will come to consoles, but they EA did show demonstrations of people using Xbox One controllers connecting to PCs.
