Xbox One E3 2013: Live Stream Links

June 10, 2013 by Ian Miles Cheong

Watch Microsoft’s E3 2013 conference here. Expect them to announce at least a dozen new games.

Microsoft will kick off its Xbox One stream in less than an hour, which is slated to begin at 9:30am PST. Click here to watch the live stream. You can also watch it on Gamespot here.

Microsoft first unveiled the Xbox One a few weeks ago, where it received a bad reception from its fans due to the lack of games presented at the event. Much of the focus was on the device's support for TV and sports. Microsoft now has a mountain to climb and with its strict DRM policies they risk alienating the hardcore gaming audience that supported their console last-gen. The bad PR debacle that followed the console reveal last month was vague with very little, yet confusing details regarding the DRM.

The company intends for its E3 presentation to be a lot different, with a focus on games instead. Games expected to make a showing include those that have already been presented, such as Quantum Break and Forza 5. Other titles rumored to make an appearance include exclusives from Electronic Arts and Namco Bandai, though time will tell whether this is actually the case.

Some of the conference's rumored contents have been leaked ahead of schedule. Check those out here.

  • Microsoft is buying out publishers to not mention the PS4 versions of multi-platform titles, so you can assume if the presenter does not say "EXCLUSIVE TO XBOX ONE", that it will also be on PS4.
  • More in depth DRM info at Gamescom. There is no rental strategy, they're trying to just sweep it under the rug and hope people don't remember.
  • Cloud power was designed as DRM. It was Microsoft's idea, and they approached other publishers. EA and Ubisoft support, Activision slightly less so.
  • DRM plans are worse than what they have said.
  • Mirror's Edge 2 at MS conference.
  • Prince of Persia (reboot?) at MS conference.
  • Secret Phil Spencer game = World of Tanks. It is said that you still need Gold to play F2P games?
  • Paywall (Xbox Gold membership) for Xbox One.
  • Dead Rising 3 as Xbox One exclusive. Exclusive DLC for another Capcom game.
  • No paywall for PS4, but it's unconfirmed.
  • Sony is very tight on their DRM policies, so no DRM info.
