PlayArts Kai has put together a figurine depicting the titular character of Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy 13. The company has not announced any pricing or set a release date for the release of the figure, but the boss of Square Enix Merchandise, Hidemi Matsuzaka, promises that details about the figure are forthcoming.
Lightning Returns is about 30% away from completion according to estimates provided by Famitsu, and will be showing up at this year's E3 event during Square Enix's presser.
Speaking at the PS4 announcement some months ago, Shinji Hashimoto, Final Fantasy's brand director, asked fans to "Please be excited for E3 this year." His statement gives us good reason to believe that the game may be slated for a next-gen release in addition to its slated (but presently undated) release on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. We'll find out in a week's time if that's actually the case.
In the meantime, check out the figure.
