Fans expecting another actual superhero from the DC Comics franchise may be a little let down by the news, however fans of Mortal Kombat will be more than happy to hear that Scorpion is coming to Injustice: Gods Among Us as a playable DLC character.

The confirmation of Scorpion's presence in Netherrealm Studios' fighting game was confirmed today with the release of an all-new video revealing the legendary character as the next DLC. This particular version of Scorpion is designed by the legendary Jim Lee at DC Entertainment, and pays homage to the original character in an all new way.

In the video below Lee and Mortal Kombat co-creator Ed Boon discuss Scorpion's new design, Mortal Kombat and his addition into Injustice.

Scorpion will be available for download on both the Xbox Live Marketplace and PlayStation Network at a price of 400 MS Points or $4.99.
