Rise of the Triad is Headed To Steam, GOG.com, and Green Man Gaming

This summer will see the release of Apogee Software's remake of 1995's PC shooter Rise of the Triad, and today they've announced a variety of retailers are on board to offer the game when it debuts. Steam, GOG.com, and Green Man Gaming will all offer Rise of the Triad with cross platform multiplayer, launching simultaneously across all distributors. While an exact date has yet to be revealed, Apogee Software has today detailed the system minimum and recommended spec requirements for the game, which you can check out below.

OS:Windows XP 32-bit

Processor:2.4 GHz Dual Core Processor or Better

Memory:2 GB RAM

Graphics:ATI Radeon HD 3870 / NVIDIA 8800 GT

DirectX®:9.0

Hard Drive:5 GB HD space

Sound:DirectX Compatible

Recommended:

OS:Windows 7 64-bit

Processor:2.4 GHz Quad Core Processor or Better

Memory:4 GB RAM

Graphics:AMD Radeon HD 6950 / NVIDIA GeForce GTX 560

DirectX®:9.0

Hard Drive:5 GB HD space

Sound:DirectX Compatible

Also unveiled today was the game's cover art, an update on the original, with a few notable additions, most notably GREEN GLOWEY HANDS. Full image is below, while a comparison shot between the two can be seen above (1995 art on the left, 2013 on the right).
