Crytek Planning ‘Special’ Crysis 3 Announcement Tomorrow

Taking to Twitter and Facebook German developer Crytek has teased a "major" announcement for Crysis 3 which they will be making tomorrow.

"Stay tuned for a special Crysis 3 announcement tomorrow. In the words of Nomad: 'We're going back'," they commented on their Facebook page while also inviting fans to provide their predictions for what might be in store. Crytek described the reveal as "major" on Twitter.

The game was released in February but failed to meet the expectations of publisher EA. Based on the image supplied on Facebook, which you can see at the top of this post, it's likely DLC based around the locations of the first Crysis which was set on a tropical island.

A set of multiplayer DLC achievements have been unearthed for the title and the developer has said it has "big plans" for the game's DLC. Among the achievements is one entitled 'Totally Oarsome' which comes with the addition of oars to game, presumably enabling players to hit people with them.

In total, the achievements come to 250 Gamerscore across four maps; Coastline, Creek, Ascent and Crossing. 

Crytek's CEO Cevat Yerli has called Crysis 3 the studio's "masterpiece".
