Epic Mickey 2 Vita Bound With New Features Next Month

The game will make use of the Vita’s touch interface.

On the Official PlayStation Blog Sony has today announced that Warren Spector's Epic Mickey 2 will be released on PlayStation Vita on June 18th with new features specific to the handheld version of the game.

"We're always looking for new experiences to bring to PS Vita owners," Sony's Don Mesa commented, adding "and many times it's as easy as looking at the extensive catalog of games that make up the PS3 library. We're excited to bring another PS3 title to your favorite handheld. Today we're announcing that PS Vita owners will be able to check out Disney Interactive's Epic Mickey 2 on PS Vita next month."

Epic Mickey 2 will make use of the PS Vita's touch capabilites and the game will also see ad hoc network functionality. Orientation-based controls have been added as has the ability to control paint and Oswald's electric beam using the touch screen. The touch features will also allow players to control the AI and navigate menus.

Also coming to PS Vita in June is the Jak and Daxter Collection while looking forward Killzone Mercenary is set to be released in early September and Freedom Wars from Japan Studios has been announced for 2014.
