Remember that fake trailer we recently saw hit the internet concerning the look of the PlayStation 4? Forget about that. Well, maybe don't forget about it completely. It still stands as a very interesting fan creation that's worth a watch. However, a real, verified teaser has just given the world an actual date for the first showing of the PS4 hardware.
It may not come as a surprise, but the date when we’ll finally be able to see the box that will play next-generation games is June 10 – the same date as the Sony E3 press conference. We expected a full reveal of the hardware in the near future, but we now have an actual time to expect it. The teaser, which can be viewed above, doesn’t exactly give too much information. Very quick clips of the box can be parsed out, but there’s nothing too substantial that we can see from the teaser. What is worth noting is that Sony seems to be turning up the promotion right before May 21, which is that date that Microsoft will be revealing its next-gen console. Although the two companies have been fighting for dominance over the entirety of the last generation, it is exciting to see the flames stocked for this new cycle of hardware.
The time is 6 p.m. PDT. But, let's not live in the future. Do you see anything in this video that gets you excited?
