Last week Daybreak announced that their zombie shooter title would become free-to-play in hopes to boost player numbers. The news of its new stance as F2P, came shortly after the team announced that the game would be leaving early access with a new mode ‘Auto Royale’.
It seems that these two changes to the IP have been extremely well received, as the game just hit a new milestone of 10 Million players according to Steamspy. Further stats tell us that 2,258,261 players have launched the game within the last two weeks. Unfortunately, there were just over 27,000 concurrent players yesterday.
That being said, will this player count stay consistent? I guess time will tell.
