The folks over on NeoGAF have unearthed a Sony trademark for 'The Order: 1886' which was filed with the United States Patents and Trademarks Office (USPTO).
The filing covers "Computer game software; videogame software" and was applied for on April 18th. Last month the website TheOrder1886.com was privately registered meaning that while we don't know who filed for it the website is almost certainly connected.
All of Sony's first party studios are developing games for PS4 including Guerilla Games and Ready at Dawn . A number of Sony's second party studios are also known to be working on PS4 titles such as Quantic Dream. While nothing's been discovered yet it means Naughty Dog, Sony Santa Monica and Sony Japan Studios are all also at work on PS4 titles.
Some of the major events of 1886 include the end of Serbo-Bulgarian War, the defeat of the First Irish Home Rule Bill in the British parliament, the invention of the first car, the dedication of the Statue of Liberty, and the abolition of slavery in Cuba. It was the also the year Coca Cola was invented so perhaps we'll finally learn the secret recipe.
