No Microtransactions For State Of Decay 2

March 12, 2018 by Jordan Coetsee

State of Decay 2 sticks to the light side.

Last week we got some awesome gameplay from the guys over at Undead Labs, showcasing the imminent release of State of Decay 2. From gameplay was widely received with positivity, but this didn’t mean that there weren’t any sceptics amongst them.

Of course, a hot topic in modern gaming is the scourge of microtransactions. Luckily, the guys over at Undead labs are joining CD Projekt Red with their anti-microtransaction stance. Jeff Strain the studio head of Undead Lab confirmed the news to IGN.

The ultimate zombie survival game • Build your community and invite up to three friends** to explore an open-world world filled with hostile zombies • Establish a base, develop your characters and manage resources to survive in a post-apocalyptic world • In the apocalypse, every decision matters and brings with it lasting consequences. • How you survive just might surprise you. • Available on Xbox One and Windows 10. • Xbox One X Enhanced and supports Xbox Play Anywhere.

State of Decay 2 is the follow up to 2013’s State of Decay. This year’s iteration includes 4-player co-op, beefed up graphics and a completely new world to explore. State of Decay 2 will be available exclusively on Xbox One and Windows 10 PCs (presumably only via the Windows Store) on May 22nd.
