Metro: Last Light Ranger Survival Guide Showcases Enemy Encounters

April 16, 2013 by Ian Miles Cheong

The second episode of the series showcases some of the monsters and enemies you’ll be dealing with in the wasteland.

Metro Last Light

Deep Silver and 4A Games have released the second chapter of the Ranger Survival Guide, a series which is designed to get players attuned to what's going on with Metro: Last Light and how to survive the apocalypse.

The second video, titled "Enemy Danger" prepares players against the hostile inhabitants of the Metro, who come in both human and mutant forms. The mutants tend to control the wastelands of Moscow above ground and make short work of anyone who dares tread outside the Metro. Human survivors on the other hand have splintered into extremist factions and gangs of bandits, and pose a threat to Rangers.

You will have to decide on how to face these threats, which you can do so by sneaking by them, actually talking to them, or simply killing them for getting in your way—because that's how the Russians do things.

The first episode of the series, released last week, focused on introductions. You can check that out here.

Metro: Last Light is set for release on May 14 in North America on the PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. It will be out on May 17 in Europe.
