Nexon, the publisher behind Cliff Bleszinski’s arena-based shooter, LawBreakers has been recently suffering a few layoffs.
Last year LawBreakers was unveiled to the world as the next first-person shooter to revolutionize the industry, unfortunately, it was met with considerably poor reception, which is a pity because it isn’t a bad game – it just was released at the wrong time. Last year Nexon attributed the game’s failure the sudden breakout success of PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds.

That being said, Nexon has stated that the layoffs are routine – and aren’t attributed to Lawbreakers, which would make sense as publisher’s work is to disseminate the IP, while the developers are focused on maintaining the player base.
LawBreakers is out now for PC and PS4. While it seems that the game is close to stagnation, Boss Key can bring the game back to life with a release on different platforms. The Switch would be a considerably good option considering there isn’t any first-person MOBA on the Hybrid console. Thoughts? Let us know in the comments down below.
