Journey Finally Gets A Much Needed Death Match Mode

April 2, 2013 by Matt Hawkins

And rockets. That game could really use those as well.

It's officially April 2nd in my neck of the woods, and perhaps yours as well. So how about we turn back the clock, just a few hours, to April 1st, 2013? Especially since that's the day in which a good deal of the video game related April Fool's gags were actually pretty decent.

In addition to the wacky Dishonored developer's video, and the Minecraft 2 announcement, we have DLC on the way. But just for any games, but Journey:

After all, now that it has managed to nab every single award under the sun, it's perhaps time for thatgamecompany to finally start selling out? According to the developer:

"The Rocket Death Match DLC exclusively for PS3 provides a fresh new take on the anonymous online adventure of a person's life passage and their intersections with other's."

By the way, for extra laughs, be sure to check out the YouTube's comments section. Here's one guy who simply doesn't get the joke:

"You've killed the all concept and sprituality of this game.
it is really bad to see this, after that beautiful game and ost.
Another dislike from me, sorry."
