Destiny Character Development and Environments Showcased at GDC 2013

March 29, 2013 by Ian Miles Cheong

Bungie has showcased a host of new details on Destiny.

Bungie has released some new concept artwork of their game Destiny today, depicting a variety of new locales previously unrevealed by the studio.

The first picture showcases a pair of bipedal mechs who tower above armed soldiers on snowy city streets flanked by buildings on both sides.

The next picture depicts a more peaceful environment—a plaza, of sorts, in which civilians walk around in. One of them even has a dog. Banners can be seen draping the walls of the buildings on the left flank and skyships fly in the skies above.

A third artwork shows what apears to be a sunny Middle Eastern or Indian looking marketplace. A pair of heavily armed soldiers take shade under some buildings from the sun.

The last piece of artwork appears to depict character customization, with four characters (in the same stance) in various forms of armor and clothing. They differ from head to toe and presumably this means players will be able to customize their characters to a great extent.

In addition to these four pieces of artwork, Bungie has released the following video to showcase the character development of Destiny.
