Gearbox has revealed more information on the new playable character it has recently been teasing, and has updated the silhouetted teaser trailer to actually show the character in full colour. He's a bandit – specifically a psycho – called Krieg, a big hulk of a guy with a big weapon covered in spikes. He wears a metal mask, so it's unclear whether we'll ever get to see his face. He also doesn't wear a top (presumably so he can show off his six pack), though he covers one arm with cloth and the other with plate armour.
As was hinted in the teaser trailer, Krieg has an emphasis on melee. Kotaku has images from the PAX East Panel at which the character was revealed that show that his spiky weapon is called a Buzz Axe, and that his action skill involves smashing things with it, throwing it around, and using it to kill enemies in exchange for health.
Other images show that Krieg has some pretty interesting skill trees, too. The Hellborn Tree involves such abilities as “Burn, Baby, Burn”, which – in typically mental bandit fashion – gives Krieg more power when he's on fire. The Bloodlust Tree includes an ability called “Blood Bath”, which stacks up “Bloodlust” and increases weapon damage. The Mania Tree has “Fuel the Rampage”, which ensures that when Krieg takes damage his “Buzz Act Rampage” action skill recharges faster.
