Splinter Cell: Blacklist Walkthrough Showcases Three Distinct Playstyles

March 22, 2013 by Ian Miles Cheong

Blacklist will have three distinct playstyles.

Blacklist

Sam Fisher's had quite a number of adventures over the past decade. He's killed numerous terrorists, been accused of murder, and he's even been on the run from his own agency when it went rogue on the US government.

Fisher's back in the good graces of the government in Splinter Cell: Blacklist, and he's sent back into the field to deal with a terrorist organization called The Blacklist which threatens to destabilize the whole world by attacking US assets. He won't be torturing folks this time around, though.

Today, Ubisoft has released a video walkthrough with full commentary from its game director Patrick Redding. It showcases Sam Fisher as he goes into a mission under the newly formed Fourth Echelon unit. Check it out below.

The video shows a few of the playstyles available in the game, including Ghost, Panther, and Assault—all of which are set to offer varied experiences so players can choose to go through the game as they please. The video also showcases some new gadgets, and a new enemy archetype.

The game is scheduled for release on the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC on August 20.
