Adobe Releases Flash 10.2 plug-in

February 9, 2011 by Eric Swain

Adobe gives us the new 10.2 plug-in.

The Adobe Flash 10.2 plug-in betas are over, the plug-in is now out in complete form. Now Adobe adds up to 34 times more efficient that the prior video pipeline release's. This will give you a 1080p playback with a 1 – 15 percent CPU utilization on a Mac or Windows. However theres always a catch, Websites will need to update their video players to support this new technology such as YouTube. To get the new update yourself check out http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/ If your on Chrome than no worries, an update to the browser will have the new plug-in built in already for you. Now since were still waiting for some websites to update their video players, Adobe was kind of enough to post a few example videos. To check the example videos out head over to http://www.adobe.com/devnet/flashplayer/stagevideo.html
