League of Legends: Zac the Secret Weapon Revealed

March 17, 2013 by Jacob Saylor

This champion looks tough as jell-o.

A new champion is coming to the Fields of Justice: Zac the Secret Weapon. As per norm with Riot Games, the company has been teasing tidbits of the champion’s release for the past week or so.

Zac comes equipped with an extremely unique array of abilities, and it appears that there isn’t a role in the game he’s not suited for. We’ve listed them below:

Cell Division (passive) – When any of Zac’s abilities hit an enemy, a piece of him falls to the ground. Zac can pick up fallen pieces to recover health. When Zac dies he splits into four blobs. These fragments will attempt to reform over a short duration. If any survive, Zac revives with a percentage of his maximum health based on the number of remaining blobs.

Stretching Strike – Zac throws a two-handed punch that deals damage and slows targets in a line.

Unstable Matter – Zac’s body explodes outward, dealing flat damage to surrounding enemies. Enemies struck also take damage based on their maximum health.

Elastic Slingshot – Zac is immobilized as he charges up a dash toward the target location. The range of Elastic Slingshot increases up to a cap as Zac charges the ability. Zac then fires himself towards the target location, damaging and stunning all nearby enemies upon landing.

Let’s Bounce – Zac bounces into the air, immediately knocking up, slowing and damaging nearby enemies. Once airborne, he bounces three times, dealing damage with each impact.

With these talents, Zac will more than likely prove extremely hard to kill. Just his passive alone is reason enough not to choose him as a primary target. The issue is that he’ll stun your group in team fights, so not addressing him as a threat means sure death for players on the opposing team.

His Ultimate Ability, Let’s Bounce, just adds to his nastiness. With an immediate stun followed by three sections of burst damage in an area-of-effect blast, Zac may prove to have one of the best situational Ultimate Abilities in the game. Combined with the mobility of his other skills, Zac will more than likely make a statement whenever Riot decides to release him.
