Indie Royale Introduces The Evolved Bundle

March 12, 2013 by Matt Hawkins

You know the deal: six great indie games for one crazy low price.

Time once again for yet another Indie Royale bundle. And what's the theme this time around? Six indie games, all debuts of some sort; some are Windows ports of formally iOS/Android only games, others are the first commercial releases for their respective studios:

Cognition Episode 1: The Hangman by Phoenix Online Studios, the team behind the King’s Quest spin-off The Silver Lining, is a point and click adventure in which you assume the mantle of a FBI agent who uses her sixth sense to see how a crime came together.

McDROID by Elefantopia is an arcade-like RTS that draws elements of the classic shmup R-Type and sports a unique cel-shaded look. Apparently the version included in the Debut Bundle is not the final version, which will make its debut at PAX East next week.

Master of Alchemy: Rise of the Mechanologists by DarkWave Games is a puzzle game that is based upon the manipulation of solid, liquid, and gaseous elements. Mixing substances and being able to properly contain is the key to success, which could be said of alchemy as a whole.

CloudPhobia by Marsbound is a Japanese shump that those who are into such things might be well aware of; this is the first time it's being distributed in America in an official capacity. The key gameplay hook here is how everything is presented in five stages that each have a three minute time limit, so scoring is a big factor.

Wimp: Who Stole My Pants, by FlexileStudio, is a puzzle platformer that offers a variety of mechanics and is also super cute. It's contrasted by 6180 The Moon, by Turtle Cream & PokPoong Games, which is also a puzzle platformer, but one that sports extremely abstract visuals.

To nab all six games, one simply needs to pay the minimum amount, which at the moment is $4.47. If one puts down at least $8, a number of extras are tossed in, including Fearofdark's Motorway, the chiptune album from which the super catchy tune in the trailer comes from.
