Black Ops 2 Zombies: Trapped in the Elevator Glitch is Amusingly Weird

February 27, 2013 by Ian Miles Cheong

This Black Ops 2 glitch will allow you to mess up the game in spite of being patched.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 is full of glitches, and it's a thing Treyarch's been dealing with—and going to have to deal with in Black Ops 3, should it ever get made—since the launch of the original game and no doubt an on-going problem that'll exist for the studio for a long time yet to come.

It goes without saying that every time Treyarch patches up a bug, gamers who spend way too much time in the game discover something else to break within Black Ops 2's multiplayer offerings, which range from weapon balance to weird level glitches that not even the most steadfast QA tester could ever hope of discovering. With millions of players in the game and even more hours being spent on the game every week, it's no surprise that someone, somewhere is going to discover a glitch in the matrix—I mean game.

The latest bug appears to be one which traps the entire four-player team within the elevator on the Die Rise! map of Black Ops 2's Zombies mode. You can watch that in the video below by NobodyEpic, though be sure to mute it unless you love bad electronic music.

Take note that Treyarch is aware of this bug, and it's been "fixed" to an extent, but as the video below proves, it still works even after the patch. All you have to do is be the host of the game and follow the steps the video suggests and you'll be able to do some amusing things with it. It doesn't do much besides piss people off, but most bugs are like that.
