Japan’s CoroCoro Magazine Reveals New Pokemon X and Y Details

February 12, 2013 by Carli Velocci

Out of all of the scans on the Internet, these seem to be the most legitimate.

Pokemon X and Y CoroCoro Scans The details behind the new Pokemon set to be revealed in the new addition to the franchise have been highly anticipated. What new creatures will expand on the universe? What crazy evolutions will drive first generation loyalists nuts?

Alleged scans of the newest edition of Japanese manga magazine CoroCoro have surfaced online, revealing many new details about Pokemon X and Y, including the name of the new movie, and the appearance of a possible new Eevee evolution.

The scan above features what is believed to be the new "eevee-lution." Called Ninfia, there are currently no other details available, besides the fact that Eevee evolves under mysterious circumstances.

While nothing is known yet, Ninfia will be a character in the upcoming Pokemon movie, titled "Extreme Speed Cenosect and the Awakening of Mewtwo." Prior to the new film, there will be a short called "Eevee and Friends."

SInce the news has not been officially announced yet, it is possible that the scans above are not exactly accurate, especially since there have been multiple false, but oddly believable scans passed around the Internet already. For example, a photo revealed that the legendary Pokemon Yveltal will be a dark and dragon type, although errors in spelling have confirmed its lack of integrity.

The new issue hits stands today.
