Good news, Nintendo Switch owners—there’s a new headset on the block that gives you a wireless chat option, and it’s all thanks to an innovative design feature from SteelSeries.
Today SteelSeries’ award-winning range of gaming headsets expands with the addition of the Arctis 3 Bluetooth. It’s well known that the Arctis 3 range is compatible with the Switch headphone jack, but the Arctis 3 Bluetooth gives you access to wireless Bluetooth audio and wired sounds direct from the Switch console simultaneously.
It works via smartphone. All you need to do is connect your phone to Bluetooth, and then you’re free to chat through the Nintendo Switch Online chat app or Discord. The Arctis 3 Bluetooth also comes with a 3.5 mm wired connection which lets you continue to the game audio without the usual latency problems.
Naturally, the Arctis 3 Bluetooth also works with PC, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, VR and mobiles, but it’s especially exciting for Nintendo Switch players who are still limited in terms of wireless headset options. It looks pretty spiffy too. Here’s hoping we’ll see some new colours in the future.
