Nintendo Network Going Down for Emergency Maintenance

Jan 28, 2013 Jeanine Celestin-Greer

Nintendo has to bring down the network for an unknown reason

For those of you who use online Nintendo products, you may want to be aware of an "emergency maintenance" for the network. The maintenance will affect all of the online shops across all of its platforms and ranking in Pokemon Black/White 1 and 2 and matchmaking functions for Warriors Orochi 3 Hyper.

The maintenance will start today. You can check the Nintendo website for full details and times if you scroll down to the words "Emergency Maintenance" in read. Nintendo has said that "parts of the affected services may be intermittently unavailable" so you should not count on having service during that time. No details on what makes this maintenance an emergency are present, but several news sites have contacted Nintendo for more details.
