Despite earlier reports that The Outsider, yeah remember that game, has not been canceled. David Braben has now said that that is not the case. Saying, "There is still publisher interest in the project, and we haven’t canceled it." he did also confirm that it has been hard with layoffs announced and had to change Frontier Developments' priorities because of unannounced projects.
First announced back in 2005, The Outsider was going to be an action game with a political narrative centered around the actions of a CIA agent on the run. It was a self funded project and was picked up by Codemasters. It has since been dropped by them, but Braben is confident in the interest in another yet unnamed publisher.
