Monster Hunter 4 Vita Rumors Are False Says Capcom

March was originally supposed to see the release of much anticipated Monster Hunter 4. Not only will it be one of the biggest releases for the 3DS yet, it might also be Capcom's most important product of this year as well.

But the game was delayed last month, and the new due date is sometime this summer. Since then, many have wondered if there was more to the official reason given, that Capcom wanted to simply up the quality.

Well just a few days ago, word began circulating that the real reason is because Capcom has been secretly working on a Vita version as well, which would be released side by side the 3DS iteration.

Such a release would be huge news, especially for Sony. It's no secret that the Vita is floundering, and Monster Hunter would be just the thing to give it some much needed life. After all, it was the original Monster Hunter that put the PSP on the map in Japan.

But as Destructoid points out, when asked about this possibility, Capcom Senior Vice President Christian Svenson on Capcom Unity responded in the most blunt, matter of fact manner possible:

"I would not believe everything you read on the internet. It will set you up for disappointment or misdirected frustration."

Oh well. The truth hurts, doesn't it? Time to figure out what else could possibly save the Vita.
