With the PS4 not too far down the road, what better time for Sony to sell as many PS3s as they can with a brand new bundle? One highlighted by a new coat of paint, plus some bang for one's buck.
The Classic White PS3 Instant Game Collection Bundle is priced at $299.99 and includes a 500GB hard drive. One that comes with three games pre-loaded: LittleBigPlanet 2, inFAMOUS 2, Ratchet & Clank: All 4 One. But these are the Instant Game Collection versions, not the normal retail variants.
One of the selling points is how it includes a one-year membership to PlayStation Plus, which means additional games can be downloaded, a dozen in total. Provided that you retain your PlayStation Plus membership.
Otherwise, everything you nabbed, and even the three that came pre-installed, will not be available. Something to definitely keep in mind. Oh, and you can nab six additional titles for your Vita as well, if you somehow own Sony's brand new portable but not their flagship home console. There's has to be a few people like that, right?
The Vita games include Uncharted: Golden Abyss, Gravity Rush, WipeOut 2048. Also, being a member entitles one to discounts in the PlayStation Store plus early access to select demos.
For those who are interested… and who can stomach the new look of the system, which looks even worse in white, in this writer's humble opinion… it hits store shelves on January 27th.
