We normally don't write about iOS and mobile games, but this one is kind of too big to pass up. For those that game on their iOS device (ie: almost everyone), you'll be glad to know Temple Run 2, the sequel to the highly-successful running game, will be out within the day.
Heck, in some areas of the world, like in New Zealand, the game is already out now on Apple's App Store.Temple Run 2 will still feature the same swiping and tilt movements that earned the first game a cool 80 on Metacritic. But there are a few changes coming to the sequel that I think will be greatly appreciated by fans.
Graphics have now been overhauled, there are new achievements, new power-ups. new obstacles and special powers for each character, too. Speaking of "special powers," that's the new ability system where aside from getting power-ups. players can now also activate abilities such as shields and other stuff to help you out.

Like the original Temple Run, Temple Run 2 will be free on iOS devices with the option to purchase coins and gems in the game itself. While it's already out in New Zealand, it's set to hit the North American App Store at 1 p.m. EST.
I'm not the biggest tablet and mobile gamer, but even I dug a game or two of Temple Run from time to time. Anyone of you excited for this?
