Double Whammy: Apple Reveals iPhone 8 & iPhone X

September 13, 2017 by Katrina Filippidis

The biggest Apple yet.

No longer do Apple loyalists have to wait for their answer to Samsung’s infinity display screen. The tech giant finally unveiled both the iPhone 8 and iPhone X at its special event keynote, where thatgamecompany’s (Flow, Journey, Flower) CEO Jenova Chen announced a brand new ‘romantic social adventure game’ called Sky for iPhone, iPad and Apple TV. Apple also introduced the Apple Watch 3, a third generation smartwatch that lets you surf the web and make calls, and a 4K version of Apple TV.

Like Microsoft, Apple has skipped over number nine and gone straight for double digits. Stylised as ‘iPhone X’, Apple insists it should be pronounced as ‘iPhone 10’. iPhone X is the first iPhone with a completely touch screen display, and ditches the home button for an intuitive single swipe motion to access the main screen.
